MemphisBelle is introducing to the 229th
Hello everybody,
my real Name is Daniel and I´m known to the Community as MemphisBelle, I´m a 42 years old guy living in Germany, am married and got 2 Kids.
I also have a real Military Background (Medic in an armored infantry Battalion), but thats years ago already.
Since I can think I´m interested in Aviation. But beeing a virtual Huey / Transport Helicopter Driver covers the most part
of my intrests. I´m a dedicated ArmA Helicopter Pilot and serve as "Taxi Driver" for Troop Transport and resupply within the German ArmA Community, OK, when I have time to fly. What takes me to he next part of my introduction. I´work in 3 shift and are scheduled for at least 2 Weekends a month, thus I wont be able to participate each official Training, but will do my best to reach the required skill Level in order to qualify. May be I find some Pilots to join unofficial Training attempts.
Besides from PC, Gaming and such things I very much like hiking through the vast woodlands of my home, the mountain Harz. I´ve got some friends to join hikes a couple times a month.
My "Flight Deck" Setup is a TM HOTAS Warthog with Saitek Rudder Pedals and Oculus Rift (wheres VR is not essential...but soooo imersive).
My DCS Experiences are reaching back to the very first days of Lock on, thus I own most of the modern Aera Fighters and almost all Helicopters, except for the Mi-8 which I´ve tried and considered it not to be my favourite module, thats what the Huey stands for.
I´m happy that I stumbled about "molevitch´s" open Invitation Thread in the DCS Forums, and am looking forward for some dedicated Helicopter Missions and a worldwide Community of Helicopter Enthusiasts.

Glad to know you MemphisBelle. You'll be in B company (Europe). It's nice to hear that Molevitch's invitation thread is still bringing people in.
Check the TS and Discord to catch other guys when they are flying. You should receive a welcome packet soon, if you haven't already.

sounds great, I´m sure I will. I have watched some of the YouTube Videos already which was very impressive. I´m really looking forward to participate those trainings/Missions soon as well. Currently I try to master some special tasks like Cargo and autorotation in SP...which works...somewhat well

Thanks, yeah I´ve been flying a little with Flick and Chalky today. It was fun, but I noticed that I´ve yet to learn some more lessons

I´m living in northern Germany at the north West edge of the Mountain Harz, close to Hannover.
I´ve been having 3 awesome rides already with some of you guys. Turns out to be a very good decision to join the 229th
