Hey Guys!!! SITREP inbound.
Sorry about being AWOL for so long...hopefully that will be changing soon.
That pesky thing called "real life" has been kicking my ass for the last many months, but we here at "Schloss BBall" are slowly getting the upper hand.
Quick update:
The lovely "Mrs. BBall" and her epic battle with her medical issues is doing superbly. The folks at the Mayo Clinic (in Scottsdale, AZ) are in total amazement with her progress. She's done what almost no one with her malady has achieved; she's reversed it's trend, and actually is getting healthier (they told her that she would be a "case study" all her own). We all attribute it to her general excellent health going into this, her great eating/exercise/etc. habits, her love for "holistic" medicine, and her faith in the love of her family, friends, and her Maker. I (of course) add that it's a simple by-product of 25 years living with yours truly...
I've been splitting my time between airline trips both here (farm is Wisconsin) and our "other address" in the Phoenix area. Between transiting the world, stopping in WI to pay bills and check on things, and logging time with her in AZ, I have had scant little time to spend in my trusty Obutto chair, Warthog in my sweaty mitts, yanking and banking (and dying) in the virtual DCS skies. I did get a chance to download the Tomkitty when it first came out. I was able to log an hour or so in her, and love what I see so far. I did come to the conclusion that "Jester" is gonna be a HUGE pain in the ass on those nights that he's knee walking drunk at the Officer's Club hitting on the local talent...he can be a bit of dick at times...lol. (typical RIO)
Anyway. Thinks are slowly changing to the good. I head to ATL this weekend to spend two days in the B767 simulator proving my worth as an aviator in my 9-month "orifice check" for the airline, but then I'm off next week with NOTHING planned other than getting back online with you blokes!
Hope to reconnect soon.
Have a great day all!
