Just a short note to apologize for being so AWOL for the last couple of months.

No real excuses...except life. (house/farm going on the market 01 Apr, work schedule killing me, getting the last kid off to college, catching up with my [active duty] son before he deploys to Okinawa, computer issues, etc...) You know, not much going on at all. Just walked in the door from an 8 day Asia trip yesterday, one day off, and headed down to ATL today for my two day "attitude check" in the B767 simulator...ALWAYS a ton of fun (ever spend a night in a Turkish prison? THAT kind of fun....)

Here's the good news. When I get back on Monday night, I (finally) have a full week off with nothing planned. I've had all the hardware for my new computer build sitting in my office for over a month, and am truly looking forward to my new build (thanks again Griff for all the advice!). This monster should rock when I get it all together...GTX 980, screaming chip, way cool MB, lots of RAM, SSD HDs....should be a damn cool rig when I'm done with it. This (of course) means I will have to re-insall everything, but hell, thats a small price to pay for what I'll be getting in the end...

Anyway...sorry for being absent. Hope to be back in the mix in a big way soon!

Yeah, Strutter, it SHOULD rock the house, but then again, who knows. Me thinks I'll load up DCS, "IL2: Battle of Stalingrad", and (probably) "Fallout 4" and leave it at that. After I recieved my profit sharing check from the company (it comes every year on Valentines Day...my bride calls it the "Delta loves me" check), her first question was, "you ARE planning on upgrading your computer...right?" (years ago, when "discussing" a new gun purchase, her statement was..."can you really ever have TOO MANY guns?") Looks like maybe I did indeed pick a good one...

So, it's off to the 767 simulator to play "you bet your career" for the next four hours. Yay! Fun to be sure! (hope I can sit down without too much pain when it's over tomorrow afternoon).
