Re: Mi8 Radio Channel default settings for kneeboard
It appears that the default channel freqs for the R-828 listed above and that were obtained from M.E. aren't lining up with those seen in game (SP & MP).
Not sure why. R-863 is OK.
Sorry bout that. Shoulda checked b4 posting.

Its possible some mission makers have chosen their own freqs or an update has changed stuff.
There is a list I posted in a video on the R-828 navigation

Re: Mi8 Radio Channel default settings for kneeboard
We had a default radio list at one point so that 224th aircraft could talk to each other while in mission. I would recomended going back to that.
unrelated, but here is a video with the new check list function and also a GPS on the co-pilot station.

Re: Mi8 Radio Channel default settings for kneeboard
The default channels are the least of the problem. I recently posted the following on ED forum.
In 1.5 (haven't checked 2.0) the preset channels are not matching up with the defaults listed in the ME. Also, if you switch channels then go back to original channel you will frequently get a different frequency (I'm using Simple Radio to get freqs).
Furthermore, if you stay on a channel and repetitively click on the AGC button, the frequency keeps changing.
I've only recently came back to the Mi8 so I'm not sure how long this has been the case, or if I am missing something.
EDIT: Cockpit mods don't seem to matter.

Re: Mi8 Radio Channel default settings for kneeboard
We had this problem before and I thought something in UR radio was broken. It turned out to be one of our mods, I thought it was the cockpit mod, but it might have been the views mod. I have a mod free version of the game that I can try.
Edit, I don't have a radio program installed.
Also, just a note, the ACG button is not modeled correctly and currently performs a function that the button does not on the real world radio. Not helpful just a fun fact.

Re: Mi8 Radio Channel default settings for kneeboard
R-828 works fine with me with SR returning as per Chic's original posted default preset chart..
I sure this does not relate to Chic's problem but just for interest of anyone else the the AGC button has to be kept fully depressed until the green light goes out - and then release it.... can take 2-3 seconds or longer before the green light goes out..... if the AGC button is released before the green light goes off the radio is not tuned fully and a wrong freq will be set. Ideally it should be mapped to a button with a fixed not momentary pulse state.

They need to get off their ass and fix the button, I made a post about it a year ago on the ED forums.

Actually Giz, that was exactly the problem. Tuning and default freq fidelity all good now.
Good call Giz.
Wife was right. I do everything too fast.
