Using v. 1.2.3.0.... started SR today and an update box on screen is asking me if I want to update? I will decline at the moment until I hear that the 229 server is updated. If someone could post when/if that is done.... cheers.

Understand Kiwi, Current server is 1.4.1.0
DCS upgrades broke the VR overlay and this was fixed by a patch - this post https://1stcavdiv.forumotion.net/t2963-simpleradio-overlay-mod-dcs-alpha-beta refers.
1.4.5 repairs SR in the same manner as the patch and fixes a few minor bugs but is not compatible with 1.4.1.0 client.
I think it is best to stick with the current SR version (1.4.1.0) and the patch as I am sure DCS will break things in next few weeks as the 'great merge' happens and then upgrade the SR server to the next version... unless of course Db decides otherwise or for someone 1.4.1.0 simply does not work...

Our servers are now updated to the latest Simple Radio version. We should all update to 1.4.5 because this version is not backwards compatible.
For those running the OVERLAY PATCH, make sure you deactivate it before updating. It is incompatible with 1.4.5.

So Chic, I have not updated simple radio in a while. I guess my only option is to update to latest version, and with my new rift I assume I will not have a vr overlay?

Update SR in the normal manner by simply re-installing the latest file here ...

If in the last month IF you have installed a MOD to patch the overlay, referenced here

If not, you are good to go. The latest version of SR incorporated the MOD fix to the overlay.
Just for info, SR has 2 overlays.... one you activate from the SR client and is not visibile in VR... the other you activate in DCS game with LCTRL + LSHIFT + ESCAPE. This overlay is not scalable but you can position it... and toggle on / off...

my VR overlay has worked in the last few version including the latest update. I also don't have an OVGME mod, I must of hard installed it.
