Pilots should endeavour to attain a minimum rating of ‘Basic Wings’ as soon as is practical and thereafter progress  training, certification and operational skills  to their desired level.

Senior Battalion pilots will always assist and mentor in areas of difficulty if asked and available.

This will be dependent on demand and IP availability in some cases. There is no bar to group training at any time however there periods will often be suitable for many including IP’s and Senior pilots.

Tuesday 2100z - 2300z Practice period for formal Basic Aviator / Senior Aviator / Tactics / Missions

Thurday 1900z - 2000z Practice period for formal Basic Aviator / Senior Aviator / Tactics

Thursday 2000 + Basic Missions

Communication amongst us all is the key for successful progression.  If you want assistance, coaching or instruction, pilots to fly missions, post your intentions.

For maximum flexibility of both pilots and IP’s there is no formal alignment of training content to training period.  It is realised that times may vary dependent on RL commitments.

Common sense dictates that Basic Wings is attained first followed by Senior wings progression in parallel with 229th SOP knowledge and application.  

Prior to each training period thought should be given to what areas you require advice, coaching or instruction.  If you are unsure, consult an IP.
