Very interesting to be sure.
Two knuckleheads in the same tank? That would be rather fun!

I reckon it would be BBall,
For those PC among you discontinue reading,
but for those like me it brings back great memories of all those Sven Hassel books i used to read when i was a young whipper snapper ! I used to love Porta and Tiny smoothly and efficiently knocking off the Russian tanks , and having fun doing it !

Well, it will be interesting to see how good the tank simulation is.
I remember quite enjoying playing quite a realistic WWII tank sim called Steel Fury: Khakov 1942. The setting was the Soviet 1942 spring offensive that proceeded the Battle of Stalingrad (suffice it to say the offensive did not go well for the Soviets). I have fond memories commanding a Pz III J platoon with our long-barreled 5cm guns knocking out T-34, T-60s and...watching in horror as our shells bounced off KV-1s (those things were monsters). The German tanks may have been inferior to the latest model Soviet tanks in terms of armament and armour but the German optics were better, the way they setup the commander's station on their Pz IIIs and IVs made for excellent command & control, and their tactics were miles ahead of the Soviets. (I also used the T-34-76 a bit but that was actually quite frustrating)
So if Il-2 BoS make good on this, I have no qualms against getting together to drive the Hun tanks and light-up some T-34s.
