a couple of questions
Hey all, after being out of the net for a while I would like to make an effort to become a more active member of the 229th. With that said I have a few questions:
1. Is SRS still the preferred utility for Comms?
2. Is there any training going on
3. Can I be of help with anything
4. I was awarded Basic Aviator wings and the rank of 'wobbly one' quite some time back....How do I update the nametag shown on my posts to reflect that
Thanks for any help in advance

Re: a couple of questions
I think Gizzy or Cib are doing the name tags. Glad to see you back Toro!
SRS is mainly used in missions. Other than that, teamspeak seems to be the preferred voice comms for the day to day.
The training I'm currently involved with is in the Mi8, with a bunch of wily eu characters. We have scheduled sessions Tues, Thurs, and sun, but on an as-you-can-make-it basis. If you're interested in that give me or Gizzy a PM and we can get you on the 8mates roster.
If you want to progress to senior wings in the Huey, thats generally a 1 on 1 exercise with you and your IP, probably SIX or Chic.
Also I recommend you pursue your MQ (mission qualified) rating so you can participate in multi unit missions were having more and more frequently. Be on the lookout for posts about those.
After flying with me for so many nights, I think youve got a considerable leg up on your MQ

Re: a couple of questions
thanks Gizzy, Again if there are anything I can do to help out with the group let me know. I am not a "techie" so what I can offer is limited...but I am willing. Would love to get together for some practice flights with some of us less skilled pilots.
