Hello 1st Cal Div,

My name is Brian. I'm 23 and just graduated college. I live in California, USA. I've always loved the Huey. I've had a couple helicopter lessons and plan on becoming a heli pilot one way or another. I've built remote control helicopters and fly them, I have a fair knowledge and understanding of basic helicopter mechanics and fundamentals for a non-pro. I really enjoy the DCS series and have been simming since Jane's Longbow and WWII Fighters. I have been playing ED products since Lock On. I mostly stick with the DCS modules and not so much Flaming Cliffs. I'm competent with the A-10C, KA-50, P-51, and UH-1H. Can do cold starts and operate all weapon systems for all of them.

I am not looking to be a super active member, but I love the Huey and find DCS gets dull flying by myself after a while (many hours). I'm looking to fly a couple times a week and/or whenever there's a group event. I haven't played any multiplayer DCS outside of LAN servers with a buddy.
I want to join to expand my knowledge of the Huey and helicopters in general and to do some good flying with people that have real world experience.
I'm only working part time currently so I'm available to fly almost any day, especially with advance notice. Best thing would be to friend me on steam or send me a message when there's some flying happening, and I'll do my best to join in.

Hi trepidine...you've come to the right group. There is a lot of experience in here and a lot of good people. There are no time requirement and you fly when you want. Our commanding officer skullz will get with you in the morning and walk you through the system. Welcome to the 1st Cav. and I look forward to flying with you...and no your post is perfect...skullz will ask you to introduce yourself as you just did.
