Hey brothers!

A couple of weeks ago, I cobbled together a little vid to show my LAN mates how you can use the ACLS whiz-bang magic to get that big-assed bird on the deck in ugly weather. I couldn't help but think of our "hero" in "Top Gun" (no, not Maverick...the REAL hero Cougar), and how if he would've just flipped a couple of switches, pushed a button or two, he could've avoided all the embarrassment of that abortion of a trap at the beginning of the movie. He would've been free to just sit there, sweat and stare at the picture of that lady and kid (that obviously came in the new wallet he just bought from Wal Mart). He would not have had to turn in his wings, he and "Merlin" could've gone to Miramar, and Maverick and Goose would've ended their Naval careers "hauling dog shit out of Hong Kong"....

...just a thought.



I couldn't help myself, and had to throw in some clips of our man Cougar.



I thought of possibly narrating the video, but in the end, I just used captions. Unfortunately, toward the end of the second trap (the one in the fog), the soundtrack begins to run a bit behind the video (about 2-3 seconds). It's not a huge deal, and the movie still "works" in my opinion.

Nice video! I love the F-14. It’s much harder to land on the carrier than the F-18. Fun stuff.
