Gordo here. I have been flying the Huey on my PC via Steam with DCS 2.5 Open Beta (free flight Caucus Sim) with average flight success with hover-transition-landing results.
When I go to the 229ahb site, my Gladiator joystick goes into super sensitive mode and I cant control a simple hover. Seems to me my setup should be similar in multiplayer.

Need advice.

Can you first be sure it's only happening in 229th server, and not in other multiplayer servers?

Have you loaded all the proper mods to the best of your knowledge?

Last thing I know would be to check axis tune settings and be sure your comfortable with those curves

When you play on your PC are you using Game mode or Sim mode? (check under Options->Gameplay and see if Game mode is checked)

It seems be be on at least two other servers (GFL warfare and Goodfellas). But 229th hover is bloody hell. Once in transition, I was flying smoothly with Flubber yesterday.
I believe my mods were installed properly by Gizzy remotely.
I will continue to adjust axis tuning. So far no luck. Everything seems to fly in fastforward.
I will try to get online later today after I drill cable access holes in my computer desk.

I have been flying the axis controls in simulation mode. At least I think I have. I turn game mode on only for radar navigation.
Under options I have been selecting simulation, then next option game mode. I will try Sim and Sim.

My controller is a KBsim Gladiator. Their cheapest joystick at $100. Now when I try to log into other servers I get an error message" Pure Client is required".

You will need to disable your mods in OVGME before you can join "pure" servers. Those servers do not allow mods.

OK. That makes sense for when I Googled "pure" servers. I neither know how to enable or disable mods. I will just stick with the old 229ahb server and just try to handle my soft KBsim Gladiator joystick.
