Samri, very nice video. It almost looks like you've done autorotations in the real world...

Awesome video Samri, found out where I have been going wrong for the last few years and was due to a misinterpretation of mine. For the term initial pitch I was pitching the helo forward and not pulling initial pitch. Hence by the time I levelled the attitude (what I thought was initial pitch.... ) I was almost in the dirt and yanking on the collective to stop myself splatting (which was happening more often than not).

Thanks guys,
Hey Frenchy - That's the beauty of a dcs huey - you just make another one, and
no visit to the CO's office either
Unfortunately, I didn't get the time to do another video during my last block of days off.
Initially I am planning to make a series of vids on Auto's covering:
Hovering autos (IGE/OGE, taxiing);
Basic Auto Traffic Pattern;
Advanced autos - low level, 180's, speed reduction climb, Constant Speed;
Examine the Effects of Wind and Weight, Manoeuvring, Max Range / Endurance, and
Forced landings to a specific spot.
Hopefully that series should give all those who haven't flown helo's a reasonable understanding of the techniques and considerations dealing with engine failures in all regimes of flight ,
as well as some guidance to practice and build competence in your own time.
Other area's I would also like to cover include:
Complex Emergency Procedures (Manual Fuel, Tail Rotor Failures),
Advanced manoeuvring - into wind Quickstops (straight ahead, 180 degree - Flare and Turn as well as Turn and Flare),
Confined area operations,
External loads - Day / Night Unaided and NVG
Instrument flight and approaches.
(and anything else anyone wants to look at).
