some pretty good feedback brother. Hopefully with some more flying that stickiness will go away.

Yeah - mine is starting to smooth out - but haven't yet had the time to work on a fix.
Having no issues with throttle per se.
The idle release button is just a button and I have mapped it as such.
Unfortunately, it's not an actual idle release stop for the throttle.
The throttle will not turn to cutoff - just stays at idle position.
My work around is to map a button from another controller to throttle up and down to actually take the dcs huey throttle below the cut-off position after pressing the collective idle stop button.
(You could probably use the incr / decr on the collective. I'm playing with Tail rotor emergencies at the moment so keeping it for N2 control)

Re: New collective for Bell 206
Thanks Samri; good to hear it is smoothing itself out a bit. I have emailed Michael at OE-XAM and will forward any nuggets should he supply them.
When I get home on Tuesday I will have more of a play with the setup.

Re: New collective for Bell 206
Based on my experience with the Komodosim collective I can tell you this. The throttle AXIS only works "north" of the Detent.(B/229) evilivan wrote:
- Noob question: is the Idle Release button supposed to do anything? I thought it would act like a detent, holding the throttle in idle until released..... mine doesn't seem to do anything (although it is active as a USB button). Is the detent something you programme into the controls?
Meaning that you can lower the throttle till it reaches the detent point where it, of course, stops. After you press the detent button, you can bottom the throttle out with the keyboard input (which is not mapped to an AXIS).
Enjoy your addition. It'll be fine.
EDIT; Just realized that Samri posted similar observation,

Re: New collective for Bell 206
Thanks for the replies, gents - I will mess around with the config.
Had a bit more of a play with it tonight, and as things stand I can't recommend it - the stiction is awful right now. There may be solutions out there, although OE-XAM haven't replied to my email - and no doubt it has come up before... however, right now it is close to un-flyable; movements of less than 4-5mm are not possible unless you turn the friction off - at which point you can't release the collective.
Fix ideas welcomed

Re: New collective for Bell 206
Would putting a higher viscosity layer of grease on the pivot help at all? I havent touched one of these yet, but it could be as simple as using a grease coating thats compatible with any rubber seals. I suggested a higher viscosity grease for a tighter seal.

Re: New collective for Bell 206
Thanks for the tips, chaps. I've tried silicon grease and that doesn't work - next stop: graphite.
However, Mr Chic is definitely onto something there (smart fella, that Chic); I had a play with some elastic bands this morning and I can maybe see a way of getting it working.
I'll send some detailed pics of the "problem" so you guys who are thinking about maybe getting one of these are fully armed to make the decision. Personally, I think the design is flawed.
On the flip side, having a proper collective to hold, with buttons and a throttle to play with, is pretty awesome; I really want to get it to work.

Hey Samri
Checking in now that a couple of weeks have gone by - have you had a chance to look at a fix?
Mine is a little improved in terms of stiction - but I now have a Chic-style solution going on, so moved away from trying to lubricate the thing (@Cib: I did try graphite; marginally better than silicone grease, but not the panacea). Not being able use the friction option removes the option to have some resistance to the movement, which I miss - I like the way you have too push the Warthog throttle forward with some resistance.
Anyway, your update (and hopefully solution!) eagerly awaited

Hi Evil.....unfortunately haven't had a chance yet.
I'm hoping to have a tinker next week when I get back home.
