TMWH Huey Profile

TMWH Huey Profile
In learning the Huey I set up the TMWH with a profile from 'Polaris & SchniX' then evolved it a bit on using Highways 229th Combined UH-1H Mods 1.4 MOD then added a couple of extras switch MODS and a few supporting Kneepad pages ....
For me it all seems to work OK.
It may be of some use to others to use as is or to adapt to own preference... or not, YMMV as they say.. no doubt those experienced have already been this route...
These are the Kneeboard png's which show what works what... Controls marked Green are external to DCS and are TRACKIR, TEAMSPEAK and VOICEATTACK
A link to a zipped file with everything you need inside...

=== (1) ===
JSGME compatible MOD '229th Combined UH-1H Mods 1.4 (amended Gizzy)' - This changes the switch order of 2 MODS and adds three new controls MODS.
Seperate folders for 1.5b & 2a.
- Main Fuel Switch - 2 Way - 'Highways' switch order reversed
- Armament Selector - 2 Way - 'Highways' switch order reversed
- Added Dome light - 3 way
- Added Auto Pilot- 3 Way
- Added Flare ARM/Safe 2 way
In DCS Controls, under MISC, you can set 'synchronise cockpit controls with HOTAS..' If engaged, and on a ramp start up, have all TM throttle switches AFT, except the throttle Left ENG OP / IGN which should be in the middle. All switches will then function as depicted in the model.
=== (2) ===
DCS control profiles (.diff.lua) for the Joystick and Throttle for DCS 1.5b & 2.0A. Any one with the same MODS installed can just load these in DCS, pop in the Kneepad folder, job done, all should work fine.
=== (3) ===
Kneepad pages for the profile and a simple HUEY startup guide, all in a folder for your saved games directory, 1.5b & 2.0a
Simple instructions are included.

Re: TMWH Huey Profile
Thanks Gizzy, il give it a look over. Most of my weapons and systems are controlled by VA and i have my Co pilot operate them on command.

Re: TMWH Huey Profile
Youve put a lot of time and effort into this Gizzy, well done, i believe this would be a perfect part of a package for anyone starting to learn the Huey. You've given me some ideas on modding my set up, thanks mate.

Re: TMWH Huey Profile
Cheers Strut...
Just a note, there was a typo on page 2 of the Kneeboard pics - the AFT function for the Speed Brake indicated FWD.. Its been changed in the files now... I use the FWD position of the speedbrake for continuous Flare deployment and the spring loaded AFT position for the same thing but in a pulse mode so to speak, at my timing...
As a matter of interest I found the trigger worked easiest for the simulated Force Trim function compared to the ‘pickle’ with the stock TMWH even with a 12cm extension and and even then I found this simulated FT function difficult to truly master...
However the best thing ever was to recently remove the big spring and reverse the small ones.... It is very light now and I have no need for the Force Trim function and I’ll probably move the ‘fire wpns’ function to the trigger as it seems more natural..... it’s all personal I know....
The extension and no spring configuration, for me, appears excellent for Helio’s, piston engined planes & older jets such as L37C, Sabre and Hawk but too light for the modern combat models but doable. Just my 2 cents as a noob..
