It's going to be an airbus airframe. So no 47. Direct quote below:
Hi guys,
About the license negotiations with Airbus I can not reveal any direkt info to anybody at the moment.
What I can tell you though is, that I am in direct contact with the highest officials for such negotiations with Airbus. Next level would be the CEO himself
Well yes our primary is the gazelle at the moment and the main part of our negotiations but I can tell you that we talk about the bo105 and another helo of thier current product line at the moment too.
I can not say anything about the 3rd helo, but if we get a full clearance you all will have something nice to play with
Enough said about that I guess
Have an awesome day as we try to have that every day

Because DCS is a combat simulator, I believe the Airbus Tiger would be a perfect match. With dual pilot cockpits being introduced in DCS and the prospect of selling a lot of anything like that would push that type design to the front of the pack. The downside would be that it would be a difficult and complicated aircraft to create so we can only speculate and wish...

+1 I would not mind being able to fly an Australian Army gunship...

23 years and the Tiger is still considered a problem aircraft, and that's putting it nicely.
And on the DCS side I agree with Flyer if would be a difficult and complicated aircraft to recreate. And once it was done, it would still only be a Tiger. Its the NH90 of the gunship world.

Super Puma would be my guess.
But my dream helicopter would be the Chinook. Always dreamed to fly one of these.

I agree with Six, the "Tiger" has been a piece of shit, our army doesnt even call it a gunship, its an "Armed Recon Aircraft".

When I was serving in the British Army Air Corps it came last in the list of possible attack helicopters when we were looking to replace the Westland Lynx AH7.
We even put purchasing second hand AH-1W's from the US Marine corps above it, although that also had quite a lot to do with being able to hold on to and use our stock of i-TOW Anti Tank missiles from the Lynx.
