Sweating the Metal: Flying Under Fire. A Chinook Pilot's Account of Life, Death and Dust in Afghanistan [Alex Duncan, Antony Loveless]

Just finished reading this, great read covering Alex's progress from flight training all the way through. Don't worry he skips all the mundane bits or condenses them. 7 - 1/2 to 8 out of 10 on the Shadowdog scale.
