Off to drive a tank!!!
Hey guys,
TODAY is Christmas!
My lovely bride purchased a ride for me last Holiday Season, and I'm off to "git 'er dun" today! (Had to re-watch "Fury" the other day just to set the mood)
http://www.driveatank.com/
The bride will be acting as passenger/photog crewmember, so I hope to have some pics/vids up by later today!

Re: Off to drive a tank!!!
Just got back a few minutes ago (hehe Nef...you kill me)
....one word...
HOLY F*CKIN WOW!!!!
Started by shooting (full auto):
- a Sten
- an M4 Carbine
and THE BEST OF ALL TIME...
- a .30 on a tripod.
Then took a tour of the "garage" (T55s, Centurion, Chieftain, and an M4E8 Sherman).
Then off to do the driving!
I drove an FV433 Abbott SPG, and an FV432 APC (through the periscope only...a bit different).
Pics...
==================
Shooting the 30 Cal!!!! Way friggin cool!
=================
In the garage with the lovely "Mrs. BBall".
=================
The Abbott SPG...way fun to drive! The APC was a ton more "sporty", but I didn't get on it really hard due to the periscope view.
===============
If you paid for one of the "big" packages (an extra $600), then you got to drive a T-55 over a car! The dude in the commanders cupola was supposed to do the driving, but he had a bad back, and let his girlfriend do the driving! She did a great job of smashing the hell outta the thing!
================
All in all a ton of fun, and a GREAT way to spend the afternoon! Yeah...having a bride that "understands" you is like winning the lottery!

Awesome...keep em coming...you know we live vicariously through your various exploits...I had the pleasure of riding in an M1A1, M60A1, M113 and Bradley when I was in, so I know how much fun it can be...your the man.
