If you're a former or current pilot we'd love to hear/read some of your stories in this thread. I especially enjoy reading stories about my beloved UH-1 Huey and AH-1 Cobra.

LMAO!!!
Funny how things work out...right?
JUST THIS MORNING I posted up an entry to my "blog" (hehe...blog...who would've ever thought on old pelican like me would have something as "new fangled" as a blog? What's next....tweeting? ).
It's a piece I wrote over a decade ago about the stories my father told me about his Vietnam flying. They were ugly to be sure, and it's hard even today to picture my dear Dad doing and seeing those kinds of horrors...but such is war. God bless our warriors...past and present.

(there are other posts about other flying "adventures"...one other one about my Dad and Army aviation)
Come on Flyer, SIX, Xtra, Samri, et. al.!!! I know pilots...and pilots are FULL of stories!

Great post BBall! Can you re post this in its own topic under the main section? That way people can read and comment on it. It is great writing and a perfect example for this section that Phantom came up with.

Damn bball. You know how to write! Also some (actual) lessons learned. Flight altitudes is something to always take into account, and nobody is 100% right (g2).

SIX,
Just point me to where you'd like me to put this up, and I'll do it...
I thought THIS was the place for stuff like this.
PM me and let me know.

Hey all...I plan to post here but have to find a little time to compose the stories. I'll try to get one on this weekend but don't expect the quality of BBalls...he's the master at the written word...I am just his humble student.

Friendly reminder to all. Post your stories as a new topic. Don't post on this page. That way each story can easily be found an talked about.
