Hi all,

I'm very new to the SIM world. In fact have only been flying for 2 months or so and start very late as I'm 43. My first experience with flying helicopters actually came from the game Take On Helicopters. I was actually suprised just how hard it is to learn to fly a helicopter and as I like a challenge this was what hooked me quickly.
After watching some documentaries on the Huey I fell smitten with this particular type of helicopter and actually went on a hunt for other flight simulators to further my experience... which is how I landed in the DCS World.
If I could go back 20 or so years and choose a different career-route it would be Helicopter pilot for sure.

As I'm quite new I can not say I'm an ACE. Far from it , I've got a lot of practicing to do, but I have been practicing on averge 2 to 3 hours/day since I started (much to the dispair of my wife) so I'm progressing quickly.  
I guess what I AM missing in the experience is companions to fly with : training is fun in itself but you can only progress 'so fast' if you do it on your own without people pointing out your mistakes. I'd also love to help others learn to fly so I think that's certainly how I would contribute).
