Kodori ValleyTeam Vs Team Campaign  (Revised rules)

Background  -The South Ossetia War 2008


- Georgian special forces succeed to blow up the Roki Tunnel the 7 August 2008.
Consequently  the Russian 58th Army cannot use it to enter in South Ossetia.



SSN 720 Pittsburgh and the SSN 725 Helena block the Black Sea Fleet



After extensive SEAD missions and tactical strikes,  most advanced SAM systems are destroyed on the area. Both sides use now the old but available in a large amount S-125 Pechora .




The Russian Army have to support South Ossetia by the Kodori Valley.


RULES OF THE CAMPAIGN
The first mission is played at morning time , the next at afternoon , then at night and so on,,,
Missions are about 30 minutes.

S-125 batteries are hidden (not visible by F10) and only activated at shooting range by ground spotters. Consequently, the areas covered by SAM are tiny but these locations are unknown . Fly at high level is useless against this upgraded version of S-125 but fly below 650 is normaly safe.

Hey BlackJack...I think quite a few members have the MI-8, KA-50 and UH-1. I have them all and will be ready in July when you get back...see you then.

Excellent BJ, Nothing's better than an online campaign. I had tons of fun on il2 with em (we had a stats page where your kills and deaths we accounted and we gained more points if we were alive for several missions, very addictive)
Problem was, we split the squad in 2, red and blue squad, and one year later the squad was broken because we kept picking on the other group and it led to tensions, childish but common :/
What I suggest is to try to keep together as the 1st cav but ask another team on ED forum if they are interested to try their chance against us.

Agree, to avoid problems :

- campaign is and will be unbalanced. With the Ka50 and more units Russia may win the conflict. The purpose is not about who win but how long time Georgia can hold the line by mountains ambushs and tanks fights.

- campaign will be about few missions. It s better to restart it than play it during a long time.

- after tests we can ask to another team to join or simply say that players cannot choose their team.

An Open schedule campaign

No matter As in the real life , pilots don t fly 24/24,
the campaign is easy to manage. So I can send you the mission updated and you can play it and send me the results.

So the campaign is open to A B C D co and friends.

I finished the template. I play a little in the area.
Goods things
- play UH-1H in modern time (Georgian Air Force)
- Battles with a large amount of units are epic (+40)

Bad things
- Mountains between South Ossetia and Russia are really too high for choppers +8000m
- The single road of South Ossetia is a little bit boring environments.

Well let s talk at 11:00 am. Define what you want to play, if you have ideas to make it simple...
