interesting looking bit of gear, ive never seen those b4, i would want to see one up close, but it looks to me that the actual "MFD" screen is just a picture ? , not sure.

Yes. Its basically an X-key programmable keyboard, with 28 keys provided. The picture you see is just a template that comes with the keyboard. You can make your own though and work it as such. You can arrange the keys in any position on this particular devise, so it comes in handy when trying to make something like a functional CDU or scratchpad. Its nothing more than a keyboard though, so dont let the maverick screen fool you.

I like the idea off it, not 200$ though. I would pay 50$.

I just got me something that works just as well (if not better than) this thing today. I bought this exclusively for CDU/UFC data entry for the A-10C, but I will create more macros for it sometime soon. Been building new keys for this keyboard all day today, and its showing me some serious progress.

http://www.amazon.com/Razer-DeathStalker-Expert-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B009SJR28W/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1387690558&sr=1-1&keywords=razer+deathstalker

Its a 100% fully customizable keyboard where every key can be reassigned for a specific function without losing functionality of your primary keyboard. I had to reorganize a few keys in DCS to get it to work, and Im still shooting some bugs out of it, but its very promising right now.
