Greetings!

This sounds like a terrific organization, and I would love to join up!

I've been an avid flight simmer since roughly 1995. I been fortunate to be the C/O of the "VFS 32nd Arctic Knights" LAN group in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area for the last dozen or so years. Over that time, we've flown a "who's who" of titles: "Hornet Korea", "Falcon 4.0", "Jane's F/A-18", "Jane's Longbow", "IL-2 Sturmovik" (all releases), and currently the "DCS World" series. Although some members have dropped out over the years, Griff and I still fly almost nightly, and we continue to hold our annual LAN at my farm each November.

I'm 57 years old (young), and am currently employed (my 30th anniversary is this November) by a major U.S. airline as a Captain flying worldwide on the Boeing 757/767 (although helo's will always be my first love...lol).

Unfortunately, I never had the honor to serve my country in the uniform of it's armed forces, but I was raised by a combat decorated, U.S. Army helicopter pilot. His integrity and devotion to duty are yardsticks by which I measure myself to this day.

When not on the road (mostly Asia), I hang my hat on a small farm in western Wisconsin.

Welcome to the 1st Cav. BBall, I believe you have come to the right place. We are a like minded bunch and love to fly the UH-1. We have several real world pilots in the organization, I am one of them so I appreciate your interest in this fine organization. I flew UH-1H in the U.S. Army for sixteen years and act as an instructor pilot here. We have much to talk about. I look forward to flying with you.

Would love to hear your tales about flying the Huey (as my Dad proved, NO ONE has better flying yarns than helicopter pilots!).

Can't wait to fly online with you guys! Looks like it might not happen until this weekend, I just picked up an airline trip up to Fairbanks. I'll try to be online come Saturday night.
