New Recruit Application
Hi
Real name is Marc and have decided to use the username, ' (B/229)BuckarooUK.' That's an indication of how old I am, if anyone remembers the flightsim, Fighter Bomber. I've since been away from flight simulators for about 20 years. Where did the years go?
Anyway, I'm sitting the Virus out at my home in Scotland, UK and stumbled across DCS by accident. I've since installed it on my PC and purchased all 4 helicopter modules, although my favourite has to be the UH-1, due to the absence of a Chinook, Wessex or Sea King. Please, please, please....fingers crossed .
My search for like minded folks who share my interest in rotary wing aircraft and hopefully assist me in learning to fly these simulations, leads me here. I've persevered with the Huey, I've completed the basic training lessons and can just about get her up and usually down without killing myself. My flights are not so much smooth as resembling an epileptic having a fit!
Thanks
BuckarooUK - Marc

Hello (B/229) BuckarooUK, welcome to the 229th. You’ll find all the guys here very friendly and super helpful so I’m sure you’ll definitely have a great time here at the 229th.
The B Company Commander is (B/229) Flubber and he monitors this page very closely so rest assured that he will be along shortly to help you get setup ready to attack the big blue sky… :-)
In the meantime, below is a link to our Discord channel where we all hang out every day and link up to plan a flight or just chew the fat.
It’s also the best place to get all the help you need to get set up to fly on our servers. So join up soon and come say hello… definitely don’t be shy, as I said we’re all a very friendly bunch.

Also, you’ll have a few things to set up to get on our servers but below is a link to the 229th Wiki page where you will find all the information you could ever ask about the 229th and getting all set up.
