Flight Requirements for aviator wings 1st Cavalry Division (Air-Mobile)

Basic Aviator wings-check out with instructor pilot

Flight Time Requirement:   0-75 logged hours (Single or Multi-player)

Required maneuvers:

o Vertical take-off to a hover
o Hovering in place for 1 minute
o Hovering Turns
o Forward Hovering flight
o Side-wards Hovering Flight
o Rearward Hovering flight
o Taxiing: Hover and Air
o Take-offs: Hovering and surface
o Straight and Level Flight
o Normal Climb and decent
o Approaches: to a Hover and to the Surface
o Steep approach to a Hover
o Helicopter Traffic Patterns
o Running Take-offs and Landings
o Reconnaissance Procedures
o Slope Operations
o Confined Area Operations
o Roof top Landings
o Multi-ship formation flight

Rank Requirements

The requirements for being promoted are based on time after you earn your basic wings; you will become eligible to be promoted after the time in grade requirements are met. A promotion will be based on these factors:

1. The needs of the unit.
2. The *participation of the member
3. The recommendation of the command staff and / or Instructor Pilots.

* You are not required to participate with the unit to be a member, no one is going to reprimand you for not flying; however, it only makes sense that for you to be promoted you would need to be active with the group.

WO1 (W1)-Initial entry

CWO2 (CW2)-Three months of active duty with 1st Cavalry Division

CWO3 (CW3)-Six months of Active duty with the 1st Cavalry Division

CWO4 (CW4)-Nine months of Active duty with the 1st Cavalry Division


2nd Lt (O1)-two months of Active duty with the 1st Cavalry Division + At the discretion of the Col or Cpt. (Headquarter access + moderate rights)

1st Lt (O2)-Four months as 2nd Lieutenant

Captain (O3)- At the discretion of the Col (Admin rights + Company rights)

Major (O4)- Six months as  Captain

Lieutenant colonel  (O5)-Six months as a Major

Colonel (O6)  Locked

Lt. Colonial Skullz,  I recommend BBall and Xtra for senior wings.  I would also recommend Xtra to be promoted to the rank of CW3.  Both have demonstrated the skills necessary to be placed in positions of leadership commensurate with their training and time in grade. Additionally I recommend BBall be awarded the rank of 1st Lt.

He has distinguished himself as an exceptional editor willing to put in the additional time to create useful missions for the 1st Cav Div. I congratulate and salute him for his efforts.

Hi Strut...I didn't know you could add awards. There are quite a few awards that I've recommended that haven't been added. I don't know how to add them or they would have been done some time ago. Would you be willing to help me get them added to the proper members? It will take a little research, on my part, to find all of the recommendations again but I'm willing to put the time in if you can help...thanks in advance.
