I fly currently the F-18c and the Huey I have about 15 hrs in the Huey I did try briefly with the Black Shark squadron but had issues (not with them) that caused me to drop out after a week. I am a member of VCW 11 and will remain there but, my first love is the Huey since my first ride in on at Fort Jackson, SC in 1971. I live in Manitoba, Canada. I am a retired long haul trucker. So, if you think I might fit in I am willing to give my best shot. Hi Rephil, welcome mate. If you like helicopters you’ll definitely enjoy yourself at the 229th.
The instructors all monitor this channel closely so one of them will definitely be along shortly to get you going.

Also, while you’re waiting we fly the beta version of DCS and do most of our voice communications using TeamSpeek, so if you don’t have them already set up you could get the ball rolling by downloading them and getting them ready.

You'll use this call sign on the forum, our servers, TeamSpeak and Discord.
I'm A's Commander and Unit Trainer and will help get you oriented. Ultimately you will need to earn Basic Wings with the Huey. The training program is self paced but we can offer you as much training as expediently as you want. All you need to do is reach out.
I'm usually on TeamSpeak weekdays around 2300 - 300 Zulu.
