Hello

Based in the UK and looking to get more out of my DCS time. I own all the DCS helicopter modules but feel at home in the Huey or MI-8 modules. I spent most of my DCS time flying single player missions or on the aerobatics servers where I enjoy formation flying and sling loading practise. I am easy going with times as I have no commitments that eat into my RL outside of working hours.

Hi Wino, welcome. I’m quite new here at the 229th and DCS but I can wholeheartedly tell you that you have found the right Squadron if you’re into helicopters. Everyone is so helpful and friendly and they are really professional and well organised. I’m too new to DCS to get you started but rest assured the instructors all monitor this page so one of them will be along shortly to get you started.
While you are waiting, the 229th fly on the "DCS open Beta" version so if you don’t have this you could download it and install it. Also they use the (free) TeamSpeak application for communications so you could get that download too.
I’m in Australia but regularly fly with the Euro guys so I’m sure I’ll be flying with you soon. Chat soon, John (AKA Space Cadet).

Welcome Wino! You have definitely come to the right place if you like flying the Huey and Mi8. Some of us fly in the Aerobatics server quite often, too. I'm sure I'll catch you around soon.
