Desk mounts for HOTAS
For an early Christmas present I received the Monstertech Table Mounts for my warthog so I thought I would give a little review.
Price is not to bad these things are sturdy and very thick aluminum.
Around $280 US for 2 with shipping.
Ordered on November 16, arrived November 29. (That is from Germany to Mississippi, US)
Very well boxed and nothing appeared to have shifted during transport all parts were present and in working order.
Pack includes all parts and screws to set up and mount my warthog. All the screws and nuts appear to be made of stainless steel or something similar, they are not cheap feeling parts. The nuts which are shaped to fit into the groves on the mount have a little spring ball bearing in them so the stay put when you put them in the channel.
You will need you own Allen (Hex Key)wrench set. (I would tell you all the sizes but the little numbers wore off my wrench holder.) It was only like 3 different size wrenches for me plus a wrench to hold the nuts to mount the throttle.
All corners are rounded over so no sharp edges I can find.
Desk clamp parts top and bottom have something on them to help stop scratching the desk.
Clamps are set back so a lip on the desk should not be a problem and are adjustable.
Clamps solid only the smallest movement. My desk is smaller so it moves some when you use the controls but not so much as to mess with flying.
Will adjust up/down and forward/backwards some for best location. Joystick has a little more forward/back than my throttle but this may just be the warthog thing. My big hands will not hit the mount when moving the controls through full range.
Easy assembly and set up. Good videos about it on YouTube.
Currently I would recommend these to anyone wishing to change their set up some or to get their controls into a more comfortable position without building elaborate setup.
Can order mounting plates to fit most HOTAS brands.
One note: They do force you to sit away from your desk so you have to lean forward alittle to type but they are made to be taken on and off when not needed.
In a few months of use I will update this to let you know how its doing then.

Re: Desk mounts for HOTAS
Id just like to add to Skeeters post that I have had the Monstertech table mounts for about a year now. As you can see I choose the black version of the mounts.
Pros
+ Sturdy, does not move during use
+ Quality is very good
+ Does not scratch the table
+ Lots of ways to adjust height
- Expensive

Follow up.
These still are holding up as new after months of me resting my hand on the throttle and snatching the stick around. Putting them on, taking off, putting on, and taking off over and over.
