Why is so quiet those days ?
I can't catch anybody on the servers or TS and barely some activity in the forum. Is the vacation month or something else

Hey Chic,
I see there are some issues introduced by the last DCS updates but it was always like that..
and no sign from B coy at all that's unfortunate

Hi Metz...
Feel free to give me shout if you or ANY ONE wants to...
- fly a mission, or
- fun fly, or
- training (BW, MQ, SW, GUNS)
in the European time envelope...
229th servers or I'll host locally, whatever the situation requires...

Re: Why is so quiet those days ?
Hello gentlemen,
reasons here:
- my 2nd child was born last month, a girl. Her mother is fine, her 2,5 years old brother and her dad are happy
- have to do a lot of work in the house to move my home-office (and gaming) room in a new room and change the former home office room into the new 2nd child room
- I am a bit more focused on the Mirage 2000 lately (one of the reasons is, that I do not get motion-sick when flying fixed wing in VR), you will find me regularly on the Blueflag server when it is online

Re: Why is so quiet those days ?
Tried to fly over the last month but didn't have the required "new" Mod installer and just have too much going on to have to learn something new right now. Planned on doing some training but will have to wait until I have more time and patience to learn new installer. Maybe around Christmas when I have about a month break if I can get someone to teach me the new stuff.

Re: Why is so quiet those days ?
Got a shift change so now I am doing A-checks 5 days a week, one week evening. One week night. Leaves very little time to socialize, and not on times when there are people online!
I'll have to see what happens when the summer schedule ends and the holiday rush dies down.

Re: Why is so quiet those days ?
I apologize to the membership for my prolonged absence. I've been in a very intensive educational program over the past couple of years and I'm entering an MBA program shortly. I hope to start flying with you guys again as soon as I can.
I must say that the current staff is doing a fantastic job of keeping this great group alive and going so I salute all of you for the work that you are putting into it. I still monitor the group on a weekly (if not daily) basis, so if anyone ever has a UH-1 question for me, I will certainly try to answer in the most timely manner possible. Thanks for your understanding.

I agree its not a bad looking aircraft. No auto thrust and basic autopilot, no automatic vertical navigation. Its pretty much a big Cessna. Our sop's are pretty relaxed when it comes to autopilot usage so I hand fly it a lot.
