Ill be in an out for a while
Been a pretty screwed up couple of weeks for me, so Ill probably be in and out of here for the time being.
My dad was struck by a drunk driver while walking with his girlfriend last weekend and now he's torn up head to toe. On top of that, I just managed to live through a heart attack this week and Im just coming home from ICU. Im 39, and last year I was in the best health Ive ever been in, including my time in the Marines, and now I managed to stave off a heart attack without -any- permanent damage whatsoever so long as I take my meds daily now. Meds that arent cheap. On top of that, I might have to go take care of my dad; nobody right now is sure how bad his injuries are at this point. He's had brain damage from his last accident, hes had bleeding in the brain, broken hip, pelvis, broken leg below the knee, broken shoulder and collar bone, severe concussion, and lacerations all up and down his body. At least he isnt a vegetable, but with as bad as he has had it over the last 10 years I dont see him wanting to live a miserable life himself. My dads the only family I have.
Ill be around for the next few weeks, but after that its all a coin toss. Enjoy your lives to the fullest; you dont know what kind of shit you will have to deal with down the line.

Adding insult to injuries, got ran over on my motorcycle yesterday by a crazed entitled lunatic who still firmly believes she owns the road. Since I cant sit in my simpit anymore due to broken tailbone, Im offline for an indefinite period of time now. Ill be in touch.

I spend a bit of time in Anchorage - if ya keen it would be great to catch up one of these days?
Just got back from there - it's officially cold and white now! - enjoy that beach (and scenery ;-) while you can.

Dads still not right in the head and hes a semi functional cripple now, but hes alive still.
And yep, Im working for Connie Kalitta right now. We're refurbing a 747-400F at the moment. I dont expect to be here long though, heard an offer for Northrop Grumman building Firescouts for a while.

You could end up down by me. Bell Helicopter in Ozark is converting 407's to the MQ-8C right across the runway from our Hangar.

Re: Ill be in an out for a while
I have a few misgivings about this place myself, mostly safety (or lack of it). Aint much to do up here either, just either drink, work or become a health nut. Im not much a drinker anymore.

Re: Ill be in an out for a while
Ok, new update...
Hard disk took a much needed dump all over my flight plan this morning. A brand new Corsair Mp300 M.2 NVme disk that newegg sends out to me for free once in a while. So now I have to rebuild my joystick profiles from scratch (again) and do some depot level maintenance on the other hard drives while I have down time. Good thing I ordered this a few days ago before it literally hit the fan... https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147690
