Hi Computer 229 Nerds

I have a mate who is building a new machine and wants to know if he can move an SSD with DCS on from one machine to a new one and make it run.

In essence he is trying to aviod downloading the whole shabag again.

Any advice welcomed

yes mate you can. I do it on my son's PC when neccessary. Click on Exe(DCS) when the ssd is in the new build. It will build the required files in the saved games folder. You can then copy and past the old config to keep key bindings. One thing though. there will be no entry in your Windows program list.
Hope thats clear been up all night in lambing sheds

Nice one, Thanks very much CIB. Arn't your sheep lucky lambing in a shed! Ours lamb in the paddock and usually wait for a cold wet southerly night and drop them in a puddle!

Do you need/want to deregister the modules first on the old machine? I think you might burn an activation if it sees a new setup otherwise.
