New PC chair Empty New PC chair

Post by (B/229) Cib Wed 14 Dec 2016, 21:53

Hey can anyone suggest a good gaming chair with the option of a truly vertical back? I hate being reclined when flying and my old chair is creaking and lost 3 of its 5 castors. I also want a chair that stays in position IE no wheels

DXRacer are good but all are with casters.  I think you may find a problem looking for a 'gaming chair' as such without them.

Totally adjustable in ALL aspects including a true vertical back or virtually horizontal if you wish but the range is large and you have to do research to get one that suits your frame.

The name does not always reflect size.

The quality of the chair reflects the price though... no normal office chair comes near and top of the range Ikea office chair is not even in the same ballpark...

But of course your mileage may vary...

I'm big and wide at 6'4" and have the 'King' for about a year now...

Not one complaint...

This is what I have. Very vertical back, doesn't recline much at all (which puts off a lot of people, but is good for me and my crap posture). It's spendy, but its designed for flight sim use, no casters and build to last:

I have an AK racing chair, comes with adjustable pillows for lumbar support and neck support too if you feel inclined to race in it. Its actually pretty nice, but its a bit on the expensive side..,.best of all is that its almost 100% modular. You can remove the arm rests and the casters are all metal. Nothing on this chair can break easily. The back can tilt back and fore, up and down, adjust the height...and you can probably use it as a bucket seat in your car if you ever feel the need to do that...

I have a Vision Racer VR3 which you can adjust as required, I love mine and I'd highly recommend one.

Ok thats a nice selection. Couple of questions.
@Utley what is the angle like when the seat is in the fully upright position?
@Dabomb what is the height of the seat base from the floor. I have to use it in conjunction with the wheelstand pro
@Ed I bought a brand new Landrover Defender 110 for just slightly more than the Visionracer setup for the Bell 206 Pfft wonder if I had that money to spend again what I would choose

Ah, but I have the Vision Racer VR3 car racing frame, that one is actually affordable. That said, when I bought mine it was less than half the price that they're currently selling them for! Wink

Its like a racing seat, you can adjust it to any position. Full upright position is hunchback, full back position is operating table.
Oh yeah, and if you keep adding toys to a Land Rover, thats just more weight that you have to push when it breaks down.

The seat sits pretty low. From the floor to the bottom of the seat itself is about 31cm. The seat pad is about 4cm thick, so you're actually sitting about 35cm from the ground.

I landed the P-51 yesterday and it was the smoothest landing I have ever made I was waiting for the bounce and it never happened. When you guys are flying what do you use for microphones? Or do you use a normal headset?

I'm still using my headset - mostly because it is wireless so I can still hear when AFK. But if it wasn't, I would mostly likely move to using the Rift audio and video.

I use the Rift's built-in mic too. I can slide the goggles up to my forehead when I need a break and still talk to everyone.

I removed my headphones as they were getting in the way, bought a nice wireless set from corsair Smile Also found that the mic was very low when trying to record my voice to train the machine for voice attack.
