There is a large sim allegedly coming out before the end of this year called Titan. It claims to mesh infantry combat like arma with marine/ocean ops and aviation ops like dcs all into one world.

Its an interesting concept, I just hope they make the aviation part of the sim as high fidelity as dcs or x-plane/prepar3d. What do y'all think?

I agree...I hope it's not just another ArmA as far as the Helicopters go...ArmA was fun but not realistic...

The youtube vid looked a bit naf to me, graphics looked well ten years out of date... I don't think DCS has anything to worry about here. Thanks for the heads-up though Rudy ^

Yep, gonna have to agree with you jammer. They released more content vids and it doesn't look good. Seems like they just pulled everything into a mixing pot and made it all equally crappy.

I was just looking at this today.  I remember playing Outerra Anteworld demo on my DK1, and flying a cessna.  It was OK.  The flight model was basic, and there were no man-made structures in the generated world. That part at least is probably different now..

Looks like Titan IM is for the military only, and Titan Vanguard is the public version (that has yet to be released?), and it seems from the videos they've made a bunch of objects and models and functionality, including multiplayer support!

But then, I think its unrealistic to imagine this will ever achieve a satisfactory level of 'realism' in any form; graphical, physical, functional, or otherwise.  They say it's Arma 3 Meets DCS Meets Google Earth... nah that hype train is gonna derail (this is coming from the guy who bought No Man's Sky prerelease)

It's more like, Google Earth meets ... generic 3D game with antiquated graphics and simple physics. I hate to bash on it, because I love the idea of that type of game. And I sure as heck couldn't do any better... But someone definitely should.
