Are you sure about the HDMI..... mine does although a OC Strix but I'm fairly certain the reference 980ti has 1 HDMI....

Re: its here!!!!
The 980Ti should have 4 different ports, mini display, HDMI, MHL and DP. Think you may have inadvertently used the HDMI slot with your monitor...you should be using the mini display port if you have that option.

Re: its here!!!!
not sticking out of the box, there are two higher up but they belong to the standard computer video card....tried them but didn't get the green tick
The only ones sticking out of the back of my box are 1 x DVI-I Dual Link 24+5pin (current monitor) and 1 x DVI-D 24 x 1pin (I had an adaptor for this one but didn't get the green tick)......
minor delay due to a $4 adaptor

Re: its here!!!!
Make sure (and I do mean goddamned sure) that you have USB 3.0 or better for the rift too. You will need that, though I doubt that will be a problem for you either.
Your card should look like this - If it does, then yes you have HDMI. My old GTX970s had HDMI and mini DP, there is no reason why yours doesnt.

thanks mate, i actually thought the T Rex was spitting on me when it roared...lol
quick question, my dot highlights the menu options in DCS blue, but I cant click them.
The remote seems to be working, do I need to do something and missed it in my enthusiasm to get started?

Re: its here!!!!
Two things:
1. You have turned on the "use mouse in VR" option in the DCS configuration?
2. I find that the position of the dot is a little finicky; it needs to be exactly in the right position
I think your problem is probably item 1 though?

I dunno, it depends on how good your eyesight is. I have to wear contacts to see the gauges, my glasses barely fit inside the things. I hate contacts...

Re: its here!!!!
I wear glasses.. and looked at these out of interest - does anyone use them here?
Read various reports on using them and I know a few reported issues with locating them inside the rift.
In their shop you can only order lenses for the HTC vive not the Rift frames with the holding lugs...
Maybe a re-design is on the cards - dunno - just reading between the lines... you know 2+3=7 etc...

DON'T DO IT KoRn!!!!!
DON'T DO IT!!!!
I started this 12 day work trip last week with a layover in PDX. Show picked me up and we flew his OR around for about an hour or so.
One word...
HOLY FU*KING SHITE!!!!
(sorry...it's that cool)
We filmed each other flying with that funny looking contraption strapped to our heads, and I'll be cobbling together a short YouTube vid starring us later today (I have the day off in Tokyo).
Two things:
1) you will be burning the simpit in the fireplace later this winter,
2) if you have any stock in "NaturalPoint", you'll be dumping it faster than Rosie O'Donnel puking up a diet pill!
Be prepared to have your bank account several hundreds dollars lighter (I'll be stopping by Best Buy on my drive home on Sunday when I get back to the world).

Ha 1 fringe benefit to reinstalling windows, I got my usb3/sata6G expansion card drivers installed for the first time. One less expense on my journey to the occulus store

Re: its here!!!!
All you need for your oculus journey is a good video card and some USB 3.0 ports and thats it. Otherwise you should be good to go Cib...I dont think you even need Windows 10 for that.

Re: its here!!!!
...the bad news within this sentence: The video card is more or less in the same price range like the Oculus itself I pay for my new Gigabyte Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 456 Euro. So the "Oculus journey" for me was 1.155 Euro (699 Oculus + 456 Video Card).(A/229) Utley wrote:All you need for your oculus journey is a good video card
