Hello everyone, Tom Cav here. I live in Dothan Alabama about 23 miles down the road from Ft Rucker. My background includes 2 1/2 years as a Huey Crew Chief with A/101 Avn Bn (Comancheros) at Ft Campbell in the 70's. I reenlisted for ATC school which positioned me for a career in the FAA as a Controller. Retired 10 years ago. To keep busy, I now volunteer and work for the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation. I work and fly as a crew chief on our Huey and Cobra at airshows and other events supporting Veterans. Our Huey has served with A/229 in Vietnam and has patched bullet holes to prove it. It is painted in the A/229 colors.

I have been involved with sim racing but now want to switch to Flight Sims. I ran across your web page and feel you guys are exactly what I'm looking for. I hope, if I'm accepted, to be positive member of the community. I noticed from perusing your forums you occasionally have questions about actual equipment measurements and what not. I will be glad to help in anyway I can.

I'm going to need help with DCS and flying the Huey but I intend to put in the work to get up to speed. Thanks for considering me, Tom Cav

No I missed Sun n Fun  this year. But we will be in Lakeland the weekend of Oct30, Stuart Fl on Nov4th, back to Lakeland Nov 10th, then back home to Alabama. All of these dates are ride events.
