Hot extraction near DMZ 1969
Found this on Facebook. It's a short video of a pickup on what looks like a hot LZ near the DMZ in 1969.

Wow....thanks Bandit!
Like one of the posters said on YT...we simply can't feel the emotions that those guys had doing what we just watched...it's physically (and emotionally) impossible.
They were amazing young men, doing an almost impossible job (with a beautiful machine), and making it look easy.... the true mark of a professional.
God bless them all.

Nice pic Dagger, we never placed a lot of confidence on one rope , we would always mitigate the risk and use a multiple rope system. However saying that, modern ropes these days are more reliable.

I had a go at this but I remember it as Static Tactical Bodyline Operations (STBO) it was with the US Army Air Assault Course run in Hawaii (nice spot for a course) and a bit of a combo of both methods very exciting indeed. Total believer in a multi rope system as well Strut.
