Pics of our beloved Huey Pt 2...
more pics from "Vietnam in HD"...
===================
The look of the door gunner haunts me. Me thinks the grunts are headed "out" (too clean), and the gunner is preoccupied with what lays ahead for him this day. Like he wants to tell the camera man to "f*ck off" and get out of his face...

They too look a little too clean to be coming OUT of the bush. The dude is smiling like he's a bit nervous to be headed out, and his buddy is "cooking a fag" to relieve the tension...

Changing a radio freq maybe?

Our famed "Delta Company"?

About a three second clip of the death of at least four Americans. It breaks my heart to watch it. When my Dad would graduate a class of WOCs at Ft. Rucker in the early 70's (they were ALL shipping to Vietnam at that point IIRC), his 3 "onionheads" would typically give him some cool gift. Many of them would have a really awesome looking coffee mug made with their names on it...he found out several times in later years that those mugs carried the names of three dead men. Sad really...

Bar none, my favorite picture. I tried several times to snap it before it began to fade to the old dude telling his story, but in the end, I'm glad my finger wasn't fast enough. IMHO, it's a bit haunting how it came out (my new lappy desktop pic). Almost like he's peering back into the abyss that was once his reality as a young man...

God bless them all, and God bless the machine that carried them in and out of harm's way.
Have a great day all.

As for the smiling tigers one I'm not sure, the 229th door logos were blue and a triangle would mean A coy ?
