Carrier Trapping in FSX
Here are a few video's that I captured flying the VRS Super Hornet on carrier ops, a couple of these are at the request of some of the members to get a look at different conditions and an idea what the FM is like for the Superbug.
One of the things that I like the most about this aircraft is the flight modelling and that of the winds around the carrier. With anything more than 10kts over the deck, you get a burble of air modelled a few hundred feet out from the deck, you can see it's effects pretty clearly about 10-15 seconds out from when I trap.
Night time trap.
12kt Winds gusting to 16kts, 2,500ft, overcast, 50 miles visibility
Dawn cold start up and launch.
8kt Winds gusting to 10kts, 6,000ft, scattered, 50 miles visibility
Dawn Trap.

All software & Mods in use;
FSX Steam Edition
VRS F-18E Super Hornet
VRS Tacpack
REX Texture HD Direct & Soft Clouds
ORBX Pago Pago & Pacific North West Scenery (Not that you see much of it)

Looked Great! Very impressive flying. If only we had a TS for flying flight simulators, then you could teach everyone to fly like that!

Thanks guys, I really enjoy flying it and we've had a couple of nights with a few of us in the pattern trapping.
