Just got the email that the spring sale is kicking off.  70% off on most things.  There is a chance that the prices will go lower on the last day of the sale.  They have done it before but not every time

The person in charge of their marketing and sales strategy should be dragged through the streets... Do they not see that they're setting, no actually, let me re-phrase that. Do they not see that they HAVE set and now are yet again re-enforcing a pattern of practically giving everything away 4 times a year.

Don't get me wrong, I like a bargain, but 70%... Really...?

They either think that they're way over pricing their products and feel guilty once in a while, suffer from periods of dementia or have a goal of pissing off the real flight sim enthusiasts by penalizing them for supporting the genre...

I've put my hand in my pocket a few times now to support a new developer (Hawk and C-101 for example), and rather than feel proud to have supported their entry to DCS I feel as if I've been taken advantage of...

Agreed. There's really no incentive to buy at full price when you're pretty much assured you can just wait 60 days or so and get most modules for at least 50% off.

It makes me wonder if they generate any revenue between sales now, and how profitable this model really is for them. I do appreciate getting these modules for 10 or 15 bucks each, but I fear they may be putting short-term profits ahead of long-term sustainability.

It is the main reason I didnt buy the C-101 and Hawk out of the gate. I knew they would do this. I did have to wait a long time for this to happen to the Mig-21 though because Leatherneck is in control of the pricing on that one.

I think I will sit on my hands for now on too.
Jumped at the Hawk and 101 and for the price I am extremely disappointed.
Hopefully these will develop into great aircraft before I start pushing up daises!
