Hey you fine collection of humans beings!
Just updated my blog with a piece about a bomb threat I had many years ago. I'm still working on the "Hatch" stories (they're a bit disjointed and spread out over several hard drives), and hope to have one up soon....

Slick No. of landings: : you mean the ones I walked away from?
CAS Tanks destroyed: : not many.
CAS Vehicules destroyed: : more than the tanks.
CAS Bunkers destroyed: : have no idea! were they selling beer there?

Ahhh - the loneliness of Command!
The only thing I would have done differently would have been the final PA:
“Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. I would like to welcome you to New York. Again, we’re sorry about the delay today, and I would like to sincerely thank you for all your patience. Also, if you were wondering about the “firm” arrival a few minutes ago, my First Officer would like to pass on his sincerest apologies....."
Naturally without pressing the PTT switch - Then given your humble PA to the PAX.

Many is the time that the trusty F/O did a "painted it on the runway" type landing, and while at the deplaning door a passenger will look at me and say "nice landing". My reply..."THANKS"....
