Group introduction and basic wings training for any new members who would like to participate. Basic wings task so senior members may not be interested. All are welcome. Training time 1 to 2 hours with one instructor per 1 to 2 students.

It's about time I did this. Can you please let me know what's required to get set up? Thanks.

@(A/229) Bandit89 ( and anyone else who might have that same question) -- Items  required for flying in 229th servers :

1) All controls set up for Flying the UH1-H  ( DCS Controls ) to include ANY joystick/Throttle(Collective) and Pedals (Twisty stick).

2) Teamspeak3 -- Including PTT button(s)  Headset & Mic correctly configured. Note PTT Button needed if you have noisy household... otherwise Voice activation would be OK.   TS Address can be found at the TOP LEFT side of this Main page in the Block called " SERVER STATUS". Password is the same as it has always been.

3) DCS OPEN BETA Updated and running with NO mods needed for now.. OVGME does NOT need to be configured for now as we do NOT have any mods required.  It's perfectly Fine to have OVGME configured & running, but understand it is NOT required at this time.

4) ** most importantly--- Time to prep the above. If you don't have one or more items configured correctly, we'll be  happy to assist, but plan accordingly... should anyone need help/assistance please jump on TS BEFORE Flight time.


Our assistance is available  UP-TO  15 minutes PRIOR to Takeoff . After than we need Time to get ready for mission/training night.
