I humbly request to be added to the roster of pilots in Aco. 229th AHB.

My name is Paul, and I am from the southeastern US, and if you know what Chuck Yeager's Advanced Flight Simulator is, then you know about how old I am.(older by a bit though) About me, I am a real world helicopter mechanic, 14CFR Part 65 certified and a former Part 147 instructor. I am a US Army veteran and have many hours working, crewing, and flying UH-1Hs and UH-1Vs as part of the Multi-National Force and Observers(MFO), in Sinai, Egypt. As for a sense of humor, it is for sure there but it is quite often dark, and after all, without the Observers, we'd just been a bunch of MFs. Laughing

Hello ImpendingJoker, welcome to the 229th. You’ll find all the guys here very friendly and super helpful so I’m sure you’ll definitely have a great time here at the 229th.

If you were a UH-1H MFO in the Sinai (1980’s) then you’re about my age, so you’re still a spring chicken like me :-)

The A Company Commander is (A/229) Hawkeye and he monitors this page very closely so rest assured that he will be along shortly to help you get setup ready to attack the big blue sky… :-)

In the meantime, below is a link to our Discord channel where we all hang out every day and link up to plan a flight or just chew the fat.
It’s also the best place to get all the help you need to get set up to fly on our servers. So join up soon and come say hello… definitely don’t be shy, as I said we’re all a very friendly bunch.

Also, you’ll have a few things to set up to get on our servers but below is a link to the 229th Wiki page where you will find all the information you could ever ask about the 229th and getting all set up.

Hi Joker. Yep said that real slow like.
Skeeter here Scout Platoon leader and fellow southern. As Space said hit the discord and TeamSpeak. I see you will be in Alpha Company US/Canada. Please feel free to also fly with the guys in the other companies also. Well not the D Company gun guys. They steal stuff. They tried to dismount my 25mm for one of their hueys so watch you stuff.
Look forward to flying with you.
