Looks like there is a bug for the Sabre sounds, BTD from ED has been looking into it re this thread :

As for break sounds and their effects heres a good recommendation from Mar, although Live and i had intuitively sorted it out for us:

Here is my settings for my Saitek Combat Pedals, i dont get that squealing brake noise and the toe  brakes are seemingly good for landing.

If using the above settings you wont be able to run up to 100% RPM without starting to roll. So map the wheel brake "w" to a button.
