Warrant Officer Candidate Mark reporting for duty.
I have been flying flight simulators since around 1998 with the Janes Longbow for PC and X-Plane since version 7. I am a 39 year old Soldier serving at Fort Campbell KY with 15 years in the 15T MOS. 1000 UH-60 crew member hours, A&P certified. 40 Hours of dual in an R-22. Just started DCS a couple of weeks ago and love it. I can fly the Huey but the Mission Editor is pretty overwhelming. I have never flown any of my Simulators online but DCS has really inspired me to try to connect with others that share my passion for aviation. Hi Mark...welcome to the 1st Cav Div. You've come to the right place to train and fly the UH-1. Everyone here is a Huey enthusiast and love flying the UH-1. There are quite a few real world current and former military/civilian pilots here so you'll fit in nicely. I'm the battalion executive officer and instructor pilot. I flew the UH-1 for sixteen years in the U.S. Army so I will conduct at least some of your training and check rides. You will also meet the other IP's...GunfighterSix (Battalion Standards IP-RW UH-60 pilot), Xtra ("D" Company attack IP-RW AH-64 Pilot) and Samri ("C" Company IP-RW UH-1 Pilot/Instructor) who are also military helicopter pilots...all are extremely knowledgeable and more than willing to answer any questions that you may have. Feel free to find any one of us on Team Speak if you have any questions.

Your company commander is Captain Showtime and he will PM you with pertinent information concerning your assignment. Please go to the "Usergroup" tab at the top of this page and select (A/229) North America as your company. We are divided into groups according to your time zone. This allows you to fly at a convenient time for you. Your free to fly with any other battalion member that you find online (there's usually someone on all of the time).
