My name is Jan, I am from Switzerland, am very interested in aeronautics/aviation, besides many other things and I’m studying as an mechanical engineer.

In DCS I fly with the Ka-50 and Mi-8, besides some fixed wing aircraft. Now I am looking forward to improve my flying and operation of the Hip. If possible in a somewhat professional manner.

I don’t own the UH-1H, so I request to complete Basic Wings Training in the Mi-8.

Hi Jan, welcome aboard. I’m sure you’ll enjoy your time here at the 229th as we are all helicopter enthusiasts as well as the occasional fixed wing dabble. So I’m sure you’ll have a ball. There is no shortage of help and support from out very knowledgeable crew so I’m sure you’ll be up and flying with us on the server very soon.

welcome to the 229th, you definately made the right decision. There´re two other guys from Switzerland part of this Squadron as well, I for my self are from Germany and there´re many People from all parts of the world around here. So basically you´ll always find someone to fly with at any time. Just hit the Scramble Channel in 8mates or 229th Discord. Besides this we´re organizing interessting but demanding Missions, Operations and Training excercises.
