Hello all.

My name is Tommy, 43 years old and I am from Croatia (EU). I don't have much experience with DCS and after messing around with various modules I came to conclusion that I like helicopters the most. I am as everyone else here big fan of anything that flies and in my army days I was stationed at cargo MI 8 base in which were very fun to fly.
At this time I only have KA-50 which I can start, know most of cockpit functions. I guess i am decent in using vhkirs from hover mode and still learning more. In pan are acquiring of MI 8 as soon as It get on sale. So I was hoping that you accept KA-50 pilots as well.

Hi Tommy!  We welcome DCS helicopter pilots of all kinds.  But we do focus mostly on the UH1, and a few of us are also currently engaged in Mi8 training.  We've also got H company headed up by Skeeter.  That path will take you through training in the SA42 Gazelle.

Admittedly, the Ka50 is probably our least utilized helicopter in the 229th, but we do have members who are very experienced in that airframe, and you can learn alot from them.

That said, you should totally get the UH1 and Mi8 modules
UH1 because that's our main airframe, and Mi8 because it sounds like you're somewhat familiar with them, and we've got a great group of guys in the EU timezone who train on it regularly.

Just jump right in Tommy if you have a notion, Ka50 is fine and is available on both our 24/7 servers...

Some of the long serving members are very proficient in the Ka50 and it makes a fine gunship accompaniment to the Mi-8 being matched in speed and communications.... and besides it get you in the mood for the Mi-24.
