what's up ?
Dear pilots,
After some years, I'm happy to come back to you and see the 1stcavdiv is still running well !
I set a french DCS team that is running well too (http://flying-skulls.forumactif.com)
and I think that will be fun to invite you in some missions.
At that time most of my team play Viggen, Mirage and Gazelle, waiting mostly for the F14
I don t know if you play only Huey, , choppers or all aircrafts. Let me know.
In anycase a good mission with a plenty full of Huey will be fun.
Hope to see you soon
BJ

Hi BlackJack,
nice to see your active in DCS still
We have had a couple of joint ops with other units and mostly its been fun. I would be happy to fly a huey with the 229th and run a nice big MP session with your CAS and CAP flights. It would need someone to create a nice scenario within the limitations of DCS for everyone to have a role

Re: what's up ?
Hi BJ.... long time no see..
A group of us fly missions most Sunday evenings although competent in Huey and other airframes currently we specialise in the Mi-8, preferring to use pilotage and electronic navigation to fly missions with DCS F10 ‘map only’, (i.e. all assets or aircraft positions etc are concealed)
We aim is to become as competent as DCS and personal skills allow with close formation, threat environments and operational procedures being standard. It’s a fun place. Several of the group love home builds and use genuine Mi-8 & Mi-24 cyclic and collectives in their rigs and many use VR exclusively.
We are actively looking to expand airframe interactions and indeed next month a joint mission with another rotary squad and a CAS squad is being run. So... we are keen for anything in joint missions on a regular or ad-hoc basis. All you need is the command channel in English...
The ideal goal would be the specialist roles of each airframe being utilised in a co-ordinated exercise, say Combat Assault Battalion, where CAS fixed wing, Scout, Troop Insertion, Recce etc etc fucntions are all interwoven.... whether we can realise it is another matter
If interested give me a shout...

Re: what's up ?
Seems to match ! We play F10 map only using simple radio and love old machines like mig21 viggen. Pilots use to play on blue flag so i feel confident about a shared mission.
Do you have a template to use for the mission ?
I already set some mission with troop transport script but basic ones.
F10 menu load/unload units , that s all. Is it good enough ?

Re: what's up ?
That's it Gizzy : hélos, transport scripts and editable soldier groups and box to deploy. Just a working template on the caucasus 2.5. No generic tasks.
I will move the choppers on the chosen area and set the mission. As we have more blue pilots I think about Mi8 from Poland or Ukraine SF. I like the Ukrainian skin with the painted eyes : ) but you choose.
Blue (mi8 side) : usa spain france poland ukraine germany, uk,georgia and israel
Red : russia south ossetia abkhazia and turkey and Greece
( i used to add turkey on red to have nato units availables in the red side and ukraine in blue side to have russian units in the blue side in case of need.)
If you can do this template you are handsome!
I ll also add the saving mission script to play the mission step by step. I mean not full aircrafts in the same time . Maybe at first fighter sweep + reco then save the mission and continue another day with choppers and cas planes.
Keep in touch
