Hi guys I finally got the rig of my dreams. An 8600k with a Prime A Z370 board and 16Gb DDR4 3000Mhz
It is blisteringly fast and I O/C it to 5.2 which was nice.(I got 90FPS in Normandy flying a Spit) I have a problem though. only 1 of the 4 dimms work so ATM it is running with 8Gb ram. I think the board will need returned and may keep me from flying for a bit. Hope to at least make TS later today

Bummer about your dimm headers, how many sticks of ram do you have, 2x8gb? You probably know but I'll mention anyway, on most mobos the sticks should be placed 1 in the slot closest to the CPU, then skip a slot and put the second stick in the third slot for timing purposes.

Probably you're right that its a defective board, but are you sure both ram sticks are working?

Hey thanks Huck, tried all ways mate. Just waiting till after New Year and will try sending the board back. I got it from Amazon and the return will hopefully straight forward.
