Re: Hurricane Evac
Thanks Skeeter...we are on the East coast of Florida and it looks as though it's going to ride the West coast north as a Cat 3 hurricane (let's hope it stays on course, unlike some of my latest IFR flights...lol). We should have 50 to 75 mph winds but should be able to somewhat tolerate those conditions. We'll probably have some physical damage (tree's, fences, sheds, etc.) but most homes have been hurricane proofed (in some cases forcibly by the insurance industry), so as long as folks don't go out and sight-see after the storm and step on "live" power lines or get hit by falling limbs (happens after every storm), we'll be okay. Keep us in your prayers.

Re: Hurricane Evac
We are under a Tropical Storm Warning as of now. Spent yesterday at our Hangar getting everything prepared. Spent this morning around the house putting away everything that wasn't nailed down. Got our emergency supplies so now it's just watch and wait.

Haha, Leave those trees be. All is well. Our Cobra is tucked safely away in our Hangar. Our Huey is up in Atlanta being painted by Delta Airlines. She will be sporting her new paint job shortly.

Re: Hurricane Evac
Well.. Irma is long gone.. and for those of us on the East coast of FL.. we dodged a massive bullet. Took a few days.. but the Sim Center is back up and running... so I flew the UH-1 for an hour today... felt good to be back in the saddle
