A PVP capture the town against the 355th 24th to 26th
Code: Select All
ROE
This event will run over the course of three days, starting Friday 24/2/17 at 12:00PM EST (4:00PM GMT) and concluding on Sunday 26/2/17 at 6:00PM EST (10:00PM GMT.) The server will remain up 24 hours a day for the duration of the op.
Both squadrons will operate with restricted airspace on day one and two. See the image below for boundary lines.
For the first 24 hours, both squadrons will be restricted from crossing the dashed line. For the second 24 hour period, both squadrons will be restricted from crossing the solid line. On day two, you'll notice forward airbases are within the target area and the airbase at Kutaisi is up for grabs. This airfield comes fully stocked with the approved ordnance for this op, so if you find your supplies running low capturing it is a good option.
From 12:00PM EST on 26/2/17 until the end of the operation, all airspace restrictions will be lifted.
These will not be enforced by anything other than your own sense of fair play (and any aircraft we have operating nearby )
SEAD ROE
For SEAD operations, any missile system that is actively targeting you on your side of the ABL is fair game, but ONLY if the missile system is hard-locking and/or firing on you.
FIGHTER ROE
Fighters may only engage aircraft or vehicles that cross the ABL, or fire at them across the ABL.
STRIKER ROE
Strikers may only engage vehicles that cross the ABL, or fire at them from across it.
TRANSPORT ROE
Transports may only deploy troops and vehicles on their squadon's side of the ABL.
COMBINED ARMS ROE
Combined Arms units must be deployed on the appropriate side of the ABL, but once deployed may cross freely.
General rules and ordnance restrictions
Ordnance will not be unlimited. Each airfield comes will a healthy supply which will replenish every 24 hours, but keep an eye on your stock so you don't find yourself hurting. Weapons and fuel may be ferried between airfields by aircraft if necessary.
Steggles' EWRS script will be active. This will send text messages in real time based on contacts visible to the RADARs your team has in play. Use the F10. Other menu to access commands for this script.
Ciribob's CTLD script will be active. Reserve airfields (Vaziani/Sochi) and far home airfields (Batumi/Gudauta) will serve as troop and crate pickup zones at mission start. For a closer option for loading troops and crates, a FOB may be built at any position on the map. A FOB requires 9 crates to build. Crates, which are required for building advanced vehicles or large structures may be requested from FOBs or logistics centers, which are bunkers with radio/dish towers sticking out of them.
Ciribob's CSAR script will be active with a 20 minute timer. If you are shot down, the aircraft slot you were will be disabled for 20 minutes or until your ejected pilot is rescued by one of your transport pilots. An infantry proxy at the point where you ejected as the actual pilot is not usable. When you eject, a text message will be displayed at the top of the screen, and tranports may use the F10. Other CSAR option to learn the frequency of the ejected pilot's beacon and/or request a smoke marker.
Ejected pilots will not be immortal; if you eject over hostile territory and your pilot is killed, that slot will be disabled for the full 20 minutes.
FIGHTERS will be restricted to short range SARH missiles. F-15Cs will carry the AIM-7M and the Su-33s will carry the R-27R. AIM-120B/Cs, and R-27ER/ETs will not be stocked at any airfields.
STRIKERS will have unrestricted ordnance, but guided cluster munitions will be in short supply. Both the 159th and 355th will only come stocked with 2 ea. CBU-87, CBU-97, CBU-103, and CBU-105. These weapons will be replenished every 24 hours. Nuclear weapons will not be stocked at airfields.
If anyone is interested please post below with prefered airframe. I will be taking a huey but there is need for CAP and I know some of you are secret fastair jocks

Re: A PVP capture the town against the 355th 24th to 26th
Hi,
So, sorry for my ignorance, but where can we see the aircraft available for each role?
E.g., sead/fighters/strikers/etc.? I'm assuming "transports" are Huey for Blue and Mi-8 for red? What are the "guns" for each side?

The mission will be edited to include your choice of aircraft so if you want to use the Mirage or F15 just say

Thanks!
Am still really rusty, so need to practice a bit before I feel comfortable flying in a group. But nice to know these things happen, and hope to be ready for the next one ... so just wanted to get the protocols down before then!

Guys I am struggling with an infected tooth. I will try to be online at 16.00 to make sure mission is started ontime but if any admins are about as backup that would be very useful. I will fly as much as I can and hope to see you guys "gettin some"

Re: A PVP capture the town against the 355th 24th to 26th
Hope you feel better Cib, those can be miserable. Day 1 ROE is in effect. If you have any questions pop in our TS or post it here.
Due to a conversion error on my part, our guys should start logging in at 1200ET (1700GMT), if not earlier. Not a huge issue for today since its mostly staging and what-ever ground war you want to throw our way. Thanks again and hope you enjoy!

Re: A PVP capture the town against the 355th 24th to 26th
Dabomb, Flick and I had a go at this today, I ended up popping over the 355th's TS to get some more info (thanks to Viper).... Those of you who have played Blue Flag are probably very familiar with this stuff, but Dabomb and I weren't so posting it here...
We need to build FOBs, which can then spawn troops and stuff
FOBs take either 9 small FOB crates or 3 large FOB crates
Heli's can carry one small FOB crate, transport planes (see below) can carry one large FOB crate
...obviously transport planes will need a runway, so will only come into play if we capture an airfield
We have armour available in Gaudata; this can't be carried and does not respawn (good chance that we will start moving it towards the front line today)
We can carry smaller vehicles
Transport Planes
Flyable C-130/IL-76s (plus Pono's famous Saberliners) will be available.
DOWNLOAD THE MODS HERE:
Please install these aircraft even if you don't intend to fly them, otherwise they will look strange in multipalyer
IL-76 https://github.com/ciribob/DCS-CTLD/raw/master/Il-76.zip
C-130FR https://github.com/ciribob/DCS-CTLD/raw/master/C-130-RadioFix.zip
These are fully flyable aircraft. The C-130 uses a weird camera inside the cockpit of the model, or you can toggle to an F-15 cockpit. The IL-76 uses a Su-27 cockpit.
