Hello everyone! My name is Alex "KoRn" and I'm a 34 yr old Captain in the Army stationed at Joint Base Lewis McChord up in Washington. I have been flight simming as a hobby on/off the last 15 yrs and recently decided to give dcs a shot! I was primarily a fsx simmer for sole purpose of flying the dodosim bell 206. But recently after acquiring the Huey Module....my love for this hobby has been stronger then ever. I am in the process of converting my bell 206 simpit into a dedicated Huey pit within the next upcoming months. I recently acquired a 1978 Huey instrument panel that I plan on using specifically for dcs.
I heard about this group through the Ed forums and was stoked to see there is a community of rotorheads like myself that share the same passion as I do. I would like to join this unit to learn more about the Huey platform and get some experience on formation flying and how to work as a cohesive unit to accomplish a mission. Sounds like you'll fit in with this group quite well. I have to echo evilivan's statement....be sure and post up some pics of that pit when you get it up and going!
BTW...my son is also an active duty Capt. in the Army (and I, an "Army-brat" to an aviator). He was formerly up at Joint Base Elmendorf/Richardson, and will be heading to Kadena in a few months. Thank you for your service!

Wow, you guys are awesome! Thanks for the kind words and making me feel so welcomed! I look forward to jumping on teamspeak and getting to meet and fly with you all! I'll definitely keep you all posted on my huey pit. I just picked up a warthog curved extension and a wheelstandpro to hold my cyclic and combat pedals. This Huey is an absolute blast to fly! Last month my brother in law who is an Apache pilot hooked me up with a 4 hour slot on their units flight sim and it was an absolute blast and since than resparked this hobby for me and on got me into dcs. I went ahead and added the A Co group and I'll check out the reading materials here shortly . I'll jump on TS this weekend and hopefully get to meet guys soon!
